Achuei Arok Gak.

Our first Scholarship recipient is an 18yrs old Achuei Arok Gak. Achuei was born and grew up in Kakuma Refugee Camp. She started her primary school in Kakuma and in the year 2015 she completed her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education with a very excellence mark of 339 out of 500. Her dream is to complete her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with hope to attend University and become a doctor. When ask how she would like to give back to the community Achuei says my dream is to advance my career in medicine and have a clinic where I will treat less fortune people for free” She believes the scholarship will give her knowledge and skills to do more for her career goal.

Sarah Nyibol Deng

“Our second recipient of the year 2016 is a 17yrs old Sarah Nyibol Deng of Shambe primary school. Sarah Nyibol came to Kakuma Refugee camp from South Sudan in 2011. She completed her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education in the year 2015 with an excellent result of 323 out of 500 mark. Sarah dreams of becoming a Lawyer with hope to dedicate her participation in reduction of the rampant growing of injustice in South Sudan. She was awarded with four years scholarship by Twic East Girls Scholarship Program and currently studying in Turkana Girls High School in Lodwar. Sarah believes the Scholarship will enable her to pursue her ambition of becoming a lawyer. At her previous school, Sarah had many interests in leadership roles. She is very excited to be at Turkana Girls High School and says, “having an opportunity to study at National school has allowed me to pursue my aspirations alongside an inspirational community of outstanding, independent and ambitious women; I couldn’t be more grateful to the Program.”

Agau Aguer Bior.

“Our third scholarship recipient is a 19 years old Agau Aguer Bior. Agau migrated to Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya from her native country of South Sudan where she successfully completed her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and obtained an excellence mark of 315 out of 500. She has thrived extremely well academically during her primary school studies and was awarded with four years scholarship by Twic East Girls Scholarship Program. Agau comments that “the opportunity given to her by the scholarship program is unique and exciting; a chance to pursue my great interest in education, being both challenged and supported in the process, living in school where there is light and amongst women who encourage me in my studies, is incredible—perharps an opening door to my dream of being a neurosurgeon”

Athiei Angok Bul.

“Our fourth and final scholarship recipient for 2016 is Athiei Angok Bul. Athiei passed her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education with flying colors obtaining mark of 317 out of 500. With her great result she managed to score a place and was awarded with four years scholarship by Twic East Girls Scholarship Program. Athiei is currently studying in Turkana Girls High School with the rest of 2016 scholarship recipients. She believes having an opportunity to study with the help of scholarship will help shape her path of becoming a doctor.”
